Benson Limited, gold cuvette, gilt spacing ring around mvt, cream colored SS enamel dial, SW-nail-set, lever escapement, diamond endstone, 15J, gilt mvt, s#I8389 with corresponding s#8389 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 70.5 dwt (109.6 g). This unusually large example of Benson's best grade English-made watch comes with a fitted J.W. Benson Ltd. box with leather exterior.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, some darkening and haze to gilt surfaces, small spot near s#, some micro-fine scratches; dial with scattered hls; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, dent to band at 7, some dings to upper perimeter of rear, good engine turning detail overall with reduction at shoulder; bow pivots freely, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystal. Box in excellent cosmetic condition with light exterior wear and minor finish loss mostly at edges.
